Sharyn Smith has a talent for developing and sustaining mutually beneficial, long-lasting media relationships – a pillar and pinnacle in the PR industry.

In her early days in the PR field, Sharyn quickly found her niche among interior designers, sharing a foundational belief that what makes interiors memorable is more than just how pretty it is. The real story behind the design, is the person it was designed for.

Prior to founding Eventful PR  Sharyn honed her skills and developed partnerships at several leading PR firms based  in Toronto servicing diverse range of clients, where she worked as the lead Senior Publicist.  Over the years  she  has amassed a wealth of corporate sales, communications and corporate event management experience.

Sharyn’s strengths lie in assisting clients leverage cross-promotional opportunities and build their brand through strategic direction, positioning and evolution.  She has serviced  a comprehensive portfolio of design and lifestyle clients, working closely with each to identify their goals and building their brands.

Sharyn’s resourcefulness has also made her an asset to many consumer, media and trade publications outlets across North America.  Working alongside some of the most enduring brands. Laurie Weir, Senior Project Manager/Publicist

Communications specialist with nearly 14 years agency experience in public relations, influencer marketing, social media and events. A strategic communicator with expertise in account management, communications planning, media relations, event management, and spokesperson/celebrity management who approaches programs with meticulous attention to detail and organization.

Laurie brings to the team extensive PR and publicity experience in the luxury retail, home/lifestyle, food and beverage and CPG sectors. Previous client experience includes: BMW Canada, Bosch, SodaStream, Target, Square One Shopping Centre, RioCan, CBC (Debbie Travis), Wine Country Ontario, Moet Hennessy, Stella Artois, Kimberly-Clark. Phil Yetman, Social Media-Brand Strategist

Phil brings a design and technical background to digital project strategy and management, creating a valuable asset to the agency and clients we serve. He has planned and executed successful, award-winning campaigns for product based clients on both a local and national level, and has managed accounts with budgets ranging from four to seven figures.

Phil is the “swiss army knife” of marketing with vast knowledge of both consumer and business marketing and technical skill ranging from graphic design to complex online marketing campaigns. His experience includes digital management of websites, developing digital strategies, branding, social media strategy and full scale marketing campaigns.

Currently, Phil is focused on digital web design, online marketing strategies and helping to bring the most exposure for our valued clients.

Sara Duck

Sara known for her keen design eye brings to the Eventful PR  team over 15 +years writing experience acting as magazine editor, writer and content creator for Canadian lifestyle and design publications   

Her work has been nationally published in notable lifestyle and design publications and newspapers in Canada and is also published author with children book series entitled: The Tea Party Adventure.

Lydia McNutt works with Eventful PR to create original content that gets noticed. She is an award-winning writer, editor and public relations professional, serving her clients with more than 20 years of Canadian media experience. Lydia has been published in numerous top-tier Canadian publications, under her own byline and as a ghost writer. Lydia’s deep-rooted interest in art, architecture and design translate to content that people love to read, while bringing brands to life.

Lydia was the proud recipient of a Gold Kenneth R. Wilson Award in 2004, and to her more-recent credit, has been recognized with awards from the Canadian Public Relations Society and the International Association of Business Communicators. Aside from her usual “beats,” Lydia has been published in print and online on topics ranging from lifestyle and community, to finance, technology and business.
