Alendel Fabrics Launches Six New On Trend Collections

TORONTO, January 2017 – National fabric wholesaler Alendel Fabrics begins the New Year in a big way by launching six new collections into the market. Their new offerings, an impressive 340 skus (covering 3 categories, drapery, multi-purpose and upholstery fabrics) are targeted to manufacturers, decorators and to the interior design community. The collections express this year’s trends effectively by incorporating elements such as rich saturated colours, heavy embroidered textures, printed velvets and menswear looks.

Fundamentals is a follow-up to the hugely successful “Benchmark” collection. It follows along the same line as Benchmark offering a comprehensive range of textures, yarns and constructions. These essential upholstery body-cloths are the basis for any great furniture piece. Fundamentals’ palette weighs heavily on the natural, brown and grey colour stories but also offers a great variety of accent or feature colours. There are 105 skus / 15 patterns in this collection.

Year after year Coco continues to impress! Coco III re-introduces Coco with the addition of 9 new workhorse colours. Clean natural colours of Twine, Linen, Hemp, Graphite, Malachite, Thistle, Vanilla, Butterscotch as well as a true Rouge (red). Coco is a basket weave construction in 84% Polyester and 16% Cotton. The subtle contrast in yarn colours give the fabric depth and interest. The fabric looks rich and elegant but is versatile and durable. Coco passes 79,000 double rubs, far exceeding the minimum residential abrasion requirements.

Silken (Suggested Retail $ 34.98 / yard)

Silken is a drapery project staple. This silk-like polyester fabric was constructed with texture and drapability in mind. Subtle slubs run through the face of the fabric mimicking a true silk. Its rich texture is only enhanced by it ability to absorbs and highlight a range of saturated shades. Silken is 54” wide and available in 37 colours.

There is a strong trend towards fabrics that offer warmth & comfort and that encourage “Cocooning”.

Wool-like fabrics and fabrics with heavy embroidered surfaces are extremely important. A menswear inspired palette is a perfect complement to this trend. Warm browns, ash greys, deep blues and rich spice colours enhance this “mood”. These trends summarize our Society Collection. A comprehensive compilation of suggested coordinates in varying weights and textures. Wild Things is a 30 sku collection of printed velvets. Everyone knows that velvets are hot. We can’t seem to get enough of them. Wild Things takes this trend to the next level by offering a limited collection of animal inspired skins printed on an ultra-plush velvet base-cloth. A natural evolution of such a predominant trend. From classic tigers and zebras to panthers and jaguars Wild Things has you covered. Authentically coloured, with some crazy-fun exceptions! Come take a walk on the wild side, we know you’ll love it! Available in 6 unique patterns. Wild Things passes over 200,000 double rubs, is washable and dry cleanable.
