Toronto, Ontario – October 29, 2013 - The Rosedale Main Street BIA is getting ready for the 9th Annual Cavalcade of Lights Festival presented by RBC on Saturday, November 30 from 2pm to 6pm. Join us for fabulous family entertainment and activities along Yonge Street from Woodlawn Avenue to Crescent Road and be on hand for the finale and watch Santa flip the switch to light the 50ft blue tree on top the CP bridge at Scrivener Square. We invite you to experience the magic of Rosedale Main Street as you shop and dine throughout the holidays."
Join Santa for Family Fun in Scrivener Square and Countdown to the Tree Lighting @ 6pm
Bring your camera and keep an eye out for the man in red as he celebrates the Cavalcade of Lights Festival! Families are invited to take photos with Santa in Scrivener Square and enjoy an afternoon of family fun.
Get in the holiday spirit by decorating a holiday cookie with icing sugar and sprinkles, get a balloon animal creation from talented balloon sculptors, put your best face forward for the face painters, cuddle under a blanket for horse and wagon rides, gaze in awe at the amazing stilt dancers as they make their way through the crowds!
After an afternoon of entertainment, the excitement culminates with the lighting of the 50ft blue tree on top the CP bridge at 6pm. Santa will be on hand for the official countdown to turn on the lights!
Visit the Ramsden Park Holiday Wonderland
Animal lovers can meet pygmy goats, alpaca, mini horses, reindeer and much more at the Ramsden Park Petting Zoo, watch dog shows presented by Dogfather & Co and roast marshmallows over an open fire!
Admission is FREE and you can feed for the animals for only $0.25. Dog Shows begin at 4pm (weather permitting). After the show, drop by the Dogfather & Co store at 1007 Yonge Street and check out the magnificent dog beds!

The Rosedale Cavalcade of Lights $5 menu items are back by popular demand. Here is just a sampling of what some of the fabulous restaurants will have to offer:
- Drop by local neighbourhood gathering spot Wylies (1234A Yonge Street) for Pad Thai, Chicken Wings, Wylies Burger and Mango Chicken.
- Known for their decadent treats, Nadège (1099 Yonge Street) has delicious hot chocolate with a homemade marshmallow.

Rosedale Main Street Cavalcade of Lights Festival Road Closures
Walker Avenue from Yonge Street west to the first laneway and Scrivener Square (at LCBO) from Yonge Street to Park Path will be closed to vehicular traffic for the Cavalcade of Lights Festival.
